The fit, color and style were great. The very bottom of the shoe (light green sole) has open areas that are for cushion and add spring to your step but I can see these filling with small stones and twigs. As much as I love OC shoes these were returned.

Wore them for one dog walk. My foot started cramping and the worse are the rocks getting stuff in the bottom. Which then messes up your gait because they aren’t all compressing at the same time time/evenly. I so wanted to love these shoes because I had friends say try them. And they all love theirs.

I bought this for my wife as a gift. The option was mineral/olive, the current older model. The fit and the size are ok. The weight of the shoe on the heavy side for a running shoe. The waterproof disappointing, because of the term waterproof used for this shoe. It’s not waterproof, can be considered as water resistant, because your feet will get wet if walk or run during the rainy periods. They will not get soaked wet, but they will get wet because the shoe is not waterproof.

I’m a lover of On Running Cloud X shoes for indoor runs, so I ordered these for outdoor runs around our farm. I wore them running on our gravel/dirt road, and like other reviewers said, a couple of times I noticed rocks getting stuck in the bottom of my shoes. The thing that bothered me the most about them was how heavy they felt. I know they are waterproof, so I expected them to be a little more stiff around the toe box, which they were, but by the end of mile 3 my legs felt like they were 200lbs each. Exchanged them for the Cloudventure 2.0 and am much happier! As far as fit, I ordered the same size that I wear in the Cloud X and they were a perfect fit.

When I first put these on they fit great on my very narrow feet and felt very comfortable. Great arch support. Walking in them proved another story. While they are very supportive there is absolutely no cushioning to absorb the foot strike- If you like a really hard feel then these would be great but I need better shock absorption. I’m
very disappointed because they fit so well. Sending them back.

These are great shoes, but as with many shoes at this point in my life, they do not play nicely with my bunions. Must be returned. Other On shoe styles have been ok but these…not so good.

After just about every hiking shoe/approach shoe Zappos carries(thank you Zappos for your patience w all the returns!!!), I have found my dream shoe. Yes, a bit tight at first(these are 6’s; I wear a 5.5-6 shoe), but after the 5 miles in mud, dirt, snow and ice I put on them immediately – no problem. The laces even stayed tied throughout the hike up and down a couple hundred feet of elevation(!!!!!Adidas, North Face, etc take note)I’m not a huge fan of cushioning on the trail, but I got used to it quickly. These really are waterproof. These were very very comfortable. My back doesn’t hurt, my knees don’t hurt. Neutral footbed: no “high heel sneaker” foot drop. Planning to try the non-water proof version and if they fit the same, will try to get in all colors.
Also the pure funkiness of the looks of these to me is a plus…..despite the odd looks I occasionally got on the trail.

The shoe was a bit snug at first but within 2 hours they felt awesome. I immediately ordered another pair for the winter season. Totally waterproof and for me, comfortable. I’ve been wearing them all day and don’t want to take them off.

I have been wearing cloudventure sneakers for the last couple years and really like them. I live on rural dirt roads with hills and loose gravel. I wanted to try the waterproof version for wetter and colder weather. The waterproof ones are definitely stiffer with a bit less wiggle room but they are supportive and actually feel great on a walk. Absolutely no rubbing or break in period and I have very sensitive feet. My feet are narrow with a relatively high arch and bunion on right foot. Really pleased with these! I wear an 8 in sneakers and these are true to size.

I really liked the style but they were just too narrow for me. I’ve had a pair of the non-waterproof ones (same size) for over a year now & they were much more comfortable from the start. These just seemed stiffer. Although I liked having the waterproofing, I will probably just buy the others again & maybe try a waterproofing spray on them.

I really wanted to like these shoes. I like the chunky look and the styling of them. I’ve been wearing Keen’s for years, but was looking to try something different. They fit really good and were great wearing around the house to try them out, however, I decided to test them out on the trail and was very disappointed. I’m guessing because of the construction and material they are made of, they don’t have much stretch around the toes, so after 2 miles in, my feet were hurting as they were rubbing against my toes. Maybe the toebox just needs to be bigger. The heal support was good and they are waterproof. I tested this my standing in the riverbed for a while. They were a little slippery on wet rocks which was a concern. Overall, they look great, but due to the fact that they are rubbing and slippery, I had to return them.

I love these hikers, but had to return due to size.

Totally love these running shoes. I have excellent control when running trails up or down hills. Waterproofing is effective and a great extra layer of protection. I purchased a 7 and it feels like an excellent fit, but If the laces are too loose I slide up and down in the heel a little.
I did earn a blister breaking these in, so wear socks that cover your skin at least the first few times.

I’m searching for a lightweight waterproof trail shoe for walking. I LOVE my On Cloud 2.0 and On Cloud X shoes for regular walking, so I thought these would be an obvious choice. (FYI – I’m a supinator/underpronator with normal foot width and higher arches.) Sadly, they are just too stiff and clunky for me. I wear a 9.5 in On Cloud, so I ordered a 9.5 women’s shoe and a size 8 in the men’s version of this shoe to compare. While the black shoes look identical, the men’s size 8 gave me a bit more room in the forefoot (but same toe length) so I actually preferred that size for wearing thicker hiking socks. The cushioning just isn’t as nice in this shoe compared to 2.0 and X and the waterproofing just makes the shoe stiff and unbreathable. And looking at other comments, I’m concerned about getting pebbles and other stuff stuck in the treads when walking trails. I ordered some waterproof trail shoes from Brooks and Vasque, so hopefully one of those will work for me. Really wanted these to work, though. Love the look. If you want a touch more width, order a men’s size and go down 1.5 sizes from your usual women’s size. (A women’s size 8 would be a men’s size 6.5, etc.) If you’ve never worn On Cloud’s before, I suggest going up a half size from your usual sneaker size.

This is a fantastic shoe and I have the exact version that is not waterproof and I wear a 9.5 however in the waterproof version you need to go up 1/2 size. Big mistake with the construction sizing on this version. So I have to return and exchange. Very frustrating.

this rating is about Zappos recommendation to order regular size, this shoe is 1 size smaller so order up! 1 size smaller than what this site recommends. I came here searching as the retailer was out of stock. Check retailers site first before you buy as sizing is off, so read retailers site instructions for sizing before buying here!

Too small. Sent back. Make sure you size up at least a half size. They are stiff.

This is my new favorite shoe!Lots of support, comfort and good looking! What more could you ask for?

My husband bought these for me for Christmas and I love them. I have wider feet so I was concerned that they might be too tight so I sized up a half and they are perfect! Went for a slushy run today in cold Michigan and my feet stayed warm and dry!

I believe myself to be an 8.5 medium. These fit just great. I have only walked in them, I haven’t gone for a run. While they seem stiff, my feet and legs aren’t tired at the end like they are with some stiffer shoes I’ve warn.
I like the overall look and styling, but while the thin laces do look nice, they do cut into your hands when pulling them tight, and it is hard to get a good grip on them. Not great to have dental floss for laces.

These are great trail runners or just for runners who prefer dry feet when they run in the rain! I fully submerged my foot in a puddle while running in these shoes and my foot remained dry. A bit on the stiff side but that makes then great trail runners.
Alissa –
I didn’t listen to other reviewers’ advice to order a size up. I usually wear 8.5-9 and ordered a size 9. I could barely get my foot in the shoe, it was so tight. So I exchanged the shoe for a 9.5 and it felt great! But after 3 days of wearing, they have stretched so much that I might have been better with the original size 9. Basically, the sizing on these shoes is a crap shoot.
As always, Zappos customer service is excellent and make it very easy to exchange or return.

Fit well. I usually wear an 8 1/2 and a 9 fits very comfortably. I love that they’re waterproof and very comfy to walk in. Have been wearing them on cold, wet, windy bike rides and my feet are warm and dry. Great for walking, very pleased with my purchase.

I have battled plantar fasciitis on and off for years. I am always searching for a comfortable shoe with lots of support. The On brand shoes are that. I will never buy anything else.

they fit a bit snug consider going up a half size if your between sizes
